That table near the back is perfect—close enough to hear my name called, far enough from the espresso machine noise."

Current assistive technology misses all of this. It gives you the stage props but not the play. It tells you there's a person, but not that they're waving at you. It identifies a dog, but not that it's wagging its tail and approaching with friendly curiosity. It spots a red light, but not that the person next to you is also waiting to cross, creating an opportunity for a moment of shared human experience.

This gap between detection and comprehension is why many people with visual impairments describe feeling isolated even in crowded spaces. They have access to the "what" but not the "what's happening"—the emotional temperature of the room, the unspoken social cues, the contextual meaning that transforms a collection of objects into a lived experience.

The technology exists to bridge this gap. Modern AI doesn't just see, it understands context, emotion, relationships, and narrative, and by building an agent with different models and tools, we can truly harness the true power of AI. The question isn't whether we can build better object detection. It's whether we're brave enough to build technology that understands stories, not just stuff.

Because at the end of the day, we don't live in a world of objects. We live in a world of moments, emotions, connections, and stories. And everyone deserves access to the full narrative, not just the footnotes.
