Project "Siraj" is an AI-powered companion developed to support and empower visually impaired individuals. Unlike traditional solutions that merely describe objects, Siraj understands context, analyzes scenes, and interacts with users in a human-like manner.
The system uses Google's Gemini Live API for real-time voice, vision, and text interaction, operating through a Python-based backend that manages the AI session and connects it to tools like location services, weather data, and internet information, alongside a React frontend for displaying activity logs and understanding how the system thinks.
A functional prototype has been developed that integrates artificial intelligence with image processing, audio, and natural language processing, tested in realistic simulation scenarios, enabling improvements in responsiveness, reduced latency, and measuring the system's ability to provide instant and effective support.
